Sioux Falls
Thanks Brian for your valuable input.
How about staying overnight at Sioux Falls while coming back from Yellowstone to Chicago??
Is there any good family attraction???
Thanks again.

I haven't spent allot of time in Sioux Falls, but I have taken my family to the Zoo there and there is a park around the Falls themselves that I thought it was really interesting and a beautiful view. Last time we went to the park we grab some subs and had a picnic there, made for a fun relaxing afternoon.

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is too late for you or not because it's still early July but I have gone the same route last year from Chicago to Rapid City.
In Minnesota, I stopped to see the large Jolly Green Giant statue which is right off the highway and the Spam Museum (even amusing for a vegetarian) and free!
Those both are at good leg stretching points too!

Few more tips...
As I m heading to Yellowstone from Chicago taking I-90 all the way.
Question is ... is it worthwhile driving back from Yellowstone to Chicago, via ... Cody on 120/20 to Casper, I-25 to Cheyenne, I-80/I-88 back to Chicago.
Any good interesting stops, stays on I-80????
Or shud stick with I-90 and try to explore more on the same route.
Thanks,
nisarS

The I - 88 is a toll road in the Chicago area and you do have to pay quite often, so keep that in mind. In my opinion, it is more expensive than the 90/94 route.
Along the I-80 however, you will pass by Starved Rock State Park in Illinois which sounds attractive and interesting to see.
