With apologies to my good friends at Death Valley National Park, I am thrilled to announce that California state route 190 is again open between Furnace Creek and Death Valley Junction. All of those roadtrippers who have been diverting either north to Beatty or south through Shoshone enroute to Las Vegas from California -- the short-cut is back!
