Hello,
I'm going to be driving from Virginia to Oregon the first couple of weeks in April. My goal is to camp most every night I can. I've been thinking of taking I-80, what will the normal temps be at night? I really don't want to have to take I-40, but am not opposed to I-70.
Any ideas?

How do you feel about cold weather camping? The night-time temperatures in the west along I-80 can be down into the 20s at night, and probably won't be out of the 30s ever -- on the clear days. We won't even talk about the slight potential for winter storms that still exists for that month. That's pretty chilly, but then I'm a desert rat. You might be tougher than me! Just take a WARM sleeping bag!
