I am planning a trip to Disneyworld in Florida and have decided that driving is my best possible option at this time. According to my research the trip is approx 23 hours. I have two days to make it to my destination already factored in. I need to know where the best place would be for me to stay for the night about the half way point and at a reasonable price
I don't know what route you plan to take, but I suggest you sleep at least south of DC, the hotels are usually cheaper in VA, NC and SC and the people are nicer to my humble opinion. 23 hours... Hum...Maybe...I'm not so sure about that, you have to consider traffic jams, construction, stops for lunch, dinner and other unpredictable things that might happen on the road. If you absolutely have to do it in 2 days, you'll probably have very long days of driving (13-14 hours), but if you're up to it, why not!

I did the same journey, and I will going to do that again. What I did was, I bought this book, Along Interstate 75 and followed the info in it. You can plan based on that book.The book is a guide so you can drive more than instructed, all depend on your abilities. The info there is good. Tells you the restaurants,gas stations,hotels to stay if you wish. There is a good piece of info you will use,rest stops in every state along I75 and how far they are from each other. For me to say to you where to stay can not be realistic for you. Everything depends when you leave, how fast you drive, traffic and how much you tolerate driving and so on. Speed is enforced by air,land,and radar be careful.

I-75 is faster & more straightforward if you only have two days, than going through the mountains (VA, NC, SC, etc.)
I always try to get WELL INTO KENTUCKY before pulling over for the night.
You won't have much time to sleep if you want to get there in two days! If travelling solo, why not just pull into truck stops here & there for a snooze when needed, with a travel alarm clock to keep you going?

If you want to make it in two days you should be in Knoxville, TN by the first night going down I-75. This is if your destination is Tampa/St. Petes. For Orlando, you'll have a bit of a shorter drive on the second day - not much though.
Good place to stay is exit 108 Merchant Drive (go left) at the Comfort Inn. It's a nice place, good breakfast the next day and reasonable. There's also a Cracker Barrell restaurant just up the street. Good home cooking meals for a very reasonable price and fast if you don't have a lot of time.
This will be a very long day of driving. You have to be careful of the speed limits, they are strictly enforced.
I do this drive every year, but take 3 days. The third day morning I'm almost at the Florida border anywhere between Ashburn and Valdosta, Georgia depending on traffic, construction, etc. Even with this it's anywhere from 8 l/2 to 9 hours in the car a day. I drive by myself though, so need the 3 days and I don't speed. I set the cruise control for about 5 miles over the limit and that's it.
There are some spots along the way that will even stop you for 5 miles over the limit.

This really isn't the place to solicit help for moving, although if you look around, you could find some links to sites that would be more helpful.
Personally, in this day and age, I wouldn't dare try to bring someone elses belongings across the border.
