visa for the states

hi!
we are two swedes going to the states for 2,5 month. our questions is, do we need to apply for a multi-entry visa if we wnat to go to canada and down to mexico???
sweden is one of the countries in the world that gets 90 days without a visa, but how is it if we going back and forth?!?!
