RENTING RV FOR A TRIP

We're moving from New Jersey to Phoenix. I thought renting a RV would be a different way to go. We're not moving a lot of stuff, most of it will be shipped out there. My question is where do I go to find a good deal on renting an SUV? Are there any reputable companies to rent from or am I beins to wishful. What is the average price? I check CruiseAmerica and it would be about $1800, which inlcudes 3000 miles, and a $350 drop off fee. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
