One of the best bargains around! In addition to free admissions to almost all national parks, monuments and recreation areas (some charge mandatory parking such as Mt. Rushmore), most of these areas (including national forests) have discounted camping fees (usually fifty percent). Even a bargain at $80, $10 is essentially a freebee for aging :)
My dear friend in ID would always say.... Why give the discounts to seniors, when it is the young families these days who are struggling to pay their mortgage and educate their children."
