The exact location of the fire and bridge collapse is on I-85 just south of GA-400, north of Downtown Atlanta.
If you're planning to drive through Atlanta on I-85, you'll need to take I-285 around the east and south side of the city (probably a good idea anyway). If you were planning to head into downtown from the North or East, I'd expect some major extra traffic on I-75 and I-20.
I'm looking at video of the fire from before the bridge/elevated highway collapsed, and it was intense.
They hope to have it rebuilt and reopened by June 15.
I-85 is closed in both directions between GA-400 and I-75.
I-85 is now completely reopened!
The original story is no longer available, but this one summarizes what had gone on.
