Road trip from sacramento to Cheyenne through I-80 east on November first week
Hi,I am planning to drive from Sacramento to Cheyenne around November first week – Is the I-80 East roads conditions are worse on those days? Which areas in the route do I need to make more precautions? Can anybody please suggest some itinerary ? I am planning for a 2 day trip?
No problem, weather permitting.
Hello and welcome to the RTA forums !
I am not sure what 'days' you refer to as you don't say which days you are travelling or why you think they are worse ? The weather is totally unpredictable until a day or 2 before you travel when you can get more accurate forecasts. To do this trip over 2 days will require 9-10 hours of driving for each of those, including basic stops for food, rest and fuel, Wendover UT would make a good overnight stop as there is little to no lodging from there to SLC that I know of, other than Tooele UT and that's a bit to far for a days drive. If the weather doesn't co-operate you may need a little longer, or if you can adjust the start time anytime during the week you can just keep an eye out for a window of opportunity.
