Canadian road trip

hey guys, I am in the DC area.

We are planning a road trip to Canada, starting on Saturday, the 14th. This is the extremely rough outline

- Leave DC on 14th, spend night in Syracuse with Sister
- Leave Syracuse on 15th afternoon/evening, reach buffalo area and spend the night
- do niagara falls, maybe spend a day or two (not sure how long it will take). go into Canada
- do what?
- do what?
- we would like to come back into the US via Alexendria Bay (and get right on I 81), but this is also very flexible.

We wanted to be home in DC by Saturday, the 21st. What do the Gurus suggest? we are very flexible, except the parts I outlined (syracuse, niagara).

Are your passports in order, and is your auto insurance valid in Canada?

yes and yes!

Do you have an atlas that includes Canada? (Most Rand McNally atlases do). Look at Ontario. Several things jumped out at me right away: Bruce Peninsula National Parks, and several likely looking Provincial Parks. Lake Huron.

I am not well-traveled in the area, but those are the things that caught my eye as possibilities for us in the future.
