Vegas to Seattle Trip
Hi,
Me and my friend plan to take a trip from Vegas to Seattle and the rough plan is as below:
I would be starting from san jose to vegas spend couple of days in both cities before we take the road trip from Vegas.
Possibly end the trip in Seattle and take a flight back to San Jose.
Running on a tight schedule and plan to do the Vegas to Seattle trip with the mentioned sites in 8 days.
Need your ideas and suggestions on the proposed plan in terms of days to spend at each place and the not to miss sites and possible routes and places for night stops.
The plan is from aug 2nd week.
The map.
Thanks

Welcome to the RTA Forum!
Do you want to get anything out of this trip - other than a weeks worth of staring out a car window? Right now, that's pretty much all you've got time to do.
Vegas to Seattle alone requires 4 full days worth of driving. Then on top of that, you want to visit 5 national parks, and you hope to do it in 8 days. That's more than a tight schedule, that's a schedule where you aren't giving enough time to do even a basic look at the high points of the parks.
Have you looked at the costs of one-way car rentals? If you're planning to fly back from Seattle, you could be in for quite a shock.
When you look at those two things, on the very tight schedule you have - have you considered limiting your focus to the southwest? An 8 day loop from Vegas then around Grand Canyon, Zion, Capitol Reef (maybe even through in Bryce/Arches/Canyonlands/or Monument Valley) then back to San Jose (perhaps via Lake Tahoe and/or Yosemite) would still be a very full and busy trip, but it's one where you'd have much more time to enjoy the trip, and one that would costs significantly less money.

Hi Michael,
Definitely agree with you, and i will try to rework the schedule.
We were very ambitious and hence i wanted to take the advice from the forum.
i shall post the updated plan and seek the final inputs.
thanks for the suggestion.
