Any recommendations for Los Angeles to Lake Tahoe ?

We're going to have to have some idea of what you're planning for a trip (who is going, how much time, your interests, etc) and what you're looking for help with, before anyone else will be able to help you.

The only thing I could possibly add to Michael's valid questions is the following paragraph, which was recently written my one of the senior members of this forum.
