Heading to a graduation in Wheeling next week (May 6) and was wondering if anyone had any cool must see places along the route. Have plenty of time to jump off the interstate and explore.
Thanks,
Steve

Welcome to RTA!
I would not take I-70 all the way, it's not even the fastest route and it has tolls. What I'd do is take I-68 at Hancock, which is a very scenic route and has quite a bit of Old National Road history. A good place to get off the road and do a little exploring is the city of Cumberland.
Then, instead of taking I-68 all the way to Morgantown, I'd take Exit 14 and US-40 through Uniontown to Washington PA to pick up I-70. It cuts off about 40 miles but it does add about half an hour. There are a lot of historical things on US-40 and it's also quite scenic. It's not a high speed road, it follows the route of the old National Road.
The route described above is well worth taking. I drove it only last year at the suggestion of glc and wished I'd had more time to see some more.
Enjoy
