Out west road trip

Hello every one, I am new to this great site and I was hoping to get some good advice about a trip that I am planning to take with my family this coming summer.
This is the overall plan.
. 2-3 days in San Francisco Drive down the PCH to Santa cruz a night or two then to salinas to sequoia forest then down to the Grand Canyon take in some sites and then river rafting 2-3 days depending on the organizers from there to Las Vegas and finally Los Angeles. All in all we were thinking a 15 day trip.
Any comments and advice would be mostly appreciated.

I am not sure what your plans for the coast are? You say drive down the PCH to Santa Cruz yet the most scenic stretch of coast highway is between Monterey and Cambria further south. I also notice that Yosemite NP is not listed, which is one of the finest of all NPs. I would consider heading down the coast and then to Sequoia and then up to Yosemite and then head to Vegas from there via Tioga Pass and Death valley. You could then head to the Grand canyon south rim and back to LA.
