Hello from florida
Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself since this is my first time on this site.
I am a Florida boy, born and raise, but spent the past 3+ years living in Asia.
After deciding to come back home, I am realizing how much I miss being on the road and traveling so now am thinking about doing a little tour of the Florida coast line.
I have discovered Rooftop Tents and was wondering if anyonoe had any advice as to where to travel and "pitch" at while in Florida.
Even though I am from here, it seems like I am in a whole new world.
Also any tricks to making a road trip easier, more fun and less expensive would be great!
Thanks!

Welcome to the RTA Forum, and welcome back to the USA!
A roadtrip is great way to rediscover your home state. I'm not that familiar with rooftop tents, but I can say you're pretty much going to have to find campgrounds, with public sites - like state parks - usually the best value.
I'll also say that it doesn't look like rooftop tents are a way to save money at all, as they appear to be much more expensive than just a regular tent. Also, are you planning to buy a car for this trip? There could be issues using a rooftop tent on a rented car.
Otherwise, this site is filled with advice and suggestions, for example, here is a good article about saving money on the road (some of the prices are a bit dated, but the principles are solid), and as you have other specific questions, feel free to ask.
