Miami to St. Augustine and back...
Hello all! Found this site a few days ago after taking a random trip to Ybor city Tampa with my lady as an adult getaway. Then the road trip bug kicked in and I would like to plan out a scenic trip bringing my three daughters (6 month, 1.5 years, 3 years) along. We were thinking of checking out St. Augustine because we've never been and we hear its one of the oldest cities in Florida. We enjoy everything from a loud street party to the arts and museums. My lady brought up swinging by Orlando possibly. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations of any interesting spots to check out on the way up or while were up there? Also planning on bringing along our bicycles to explore wherever we may end up a little better. Any ideas, recommendations, and thoughts are welcome. Forgot to mention that well be departing Miami this Friday maybe Saturday. October 31 or November 1
There's More To The Coast Than Just Coast
Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!
Yes, there are pristine ocean beaches and, as you note, the oldest European city in America, but it is also a place where you can find untamed wildlife and the nation's spaceport. And yes, there are a number of high-cost amusement parks in Orlando where you can treat your kids to a fun day, but there are also much lower cost museums devoted to science, art, and the just plain strange.
