WV to key west
my husband and I would like to drive from wv to key west in mid September We have a two or three weeks and would like to drive along coast if possible and visit as many lighthouses as we can. While in Key West, would like to do some snorkeling and bike riding. We will be leaving from Moorefield, WV Any ideas of routes, hotels and/or campgrounds, places to eat, places to ride bikes and snorkel?

Try the old highways.
Hi becky, and welcome to the Great American Roadtrip Forum.
Having just driven from Key West to WV, over the old US highways, staying off the interstates for most of the trip. US1 in particular gave me a great run and was often very scenic. Especially when you get to FL, it runs right along the coast. Then there is A1A which runs for most of the way on the ocean side of the intercoastal. The latter being quite a slow road. Of course you will want to take your time on the Overseas Highway, and stop to check out the beaches, the old bridges, wild bird sanctuary and the Key Deer on Big Pine and No Name Keys. There are of course, many other attractions, but they come to mind.
Have a look on a some good maps of the States south of you, and you will see just how many attractions there are along and close to this route.
Sorry I can't help with places to stay, etc. I have my own campervan.
