CA (San Diego) to OR (unknown)

Hello all!

I am new to the forum, new to road tripping and newly wedd :) So first of let me apologize if I am not following procedure, I tried searching for my answer in the forum but it is to much of a vague idea to answer.

Having said that; I am planning to spend my first wedding anniversary on a road tripp with the wifey (Nov-Dec) I have an invitation to Oregon to spend a couple of days with a friend but most likely the whole tripp I want it to be based on the scenic and such.

If it's possible I wish you could give me tips on what to see, how to travel, and where to stay for a couple of stops.

I am riding a bike (street), probably beginning of December, I am looking for the tripp to last 5-6 days back and forth and my major goal is the beautiful view and getting to know does awesome hidden spots in the road.

So! Brainstorm me! What do you guys got?

The first question really is as simple as where are you going? "Oregon" is a huge target and knowing where you are heading to visit your friend is going to make a big difference.

The other big question is time, do you mean that you have 5 to 6 days total for your trip, or are you planning to take 5-6 days each way?

Based on the fact that you're planning to travel by motorcycle, I would recommend you spend much of your time following the coast highway, both because it is very scenic, and it is the least likely to see winter weather. There are parks and places that will be open in mountain areas, like Yosemite, for example but because of the high chance of snow/ice, I wouldn't be traveling there in November or December on 2 wheels. Even if you travel on I-5, you will have to be careful that you aren't running into an early season winter storm.
