Yellowstone this spring

The roads and facilities in and around Yellowstone are opening later than normal this year. The official reason is budget cuts. Further discussion of the reasons would probably not be appropriate on these forums, but I'd be happy to express my opinions offline in private messages. I also hear that full opening of Yosemite and other mountain parks may also be delayed.

I read similar things about Crater Lake as well.

I have planned our trip in a anti clockwise direction this year to allow us to get to the colder areas later and hopefully all open by then.

We were in Yellowstone early May last time and very few visitors as the Park had just opened.
Hope everything works out for the National Parks.
