Dirving directions?

I'm new to this and a little disappointed that actual driving directions aren't shown like they are if you use, for example, Google Maps. Am I missing something? Or, do people use Road Trip America to see interesting places, hotels, dining, etc., and then use Goggle Maps to get the actual directions?

To answer your question, RTA is all about you designing your road trip. Why have a computer decide where you want to go. Look at a good (paper) map, see all the options available to you, and choose the route which you know you are going to enjoy most. It does take a little research to see what the routes are like. But that is what these forums are for.

Yes, as Lifey mentioned, we're not very interested in the turn-by-turn driving instructions approach. We could have included such a feature in the RTA Custom Maps application, but it was a conscious decision not to enable that feature. Google Maps is a good alternative if you wish to have that detailed for you.
