from Ohio to Colorado
My Family is planning a road trip from Ohio, thru Chicago, onto Minnesota, to MT. Rushmore and final destination Ft. Collins, Colorado. While we have the trip out pretty well planned, we have nothing for the trip back other than possibly stopping in Kentucky to go to the Corvette Museum. So just looking for some ideas. Any help would be wonderful.
Thanks,
Jen

Welcome to the RTA forum!
How much time do you have and what kinds of things are you hoping to see? What makes up your family and your interests?
If you're going to Bowling Green, then you're route is also likely going to take you past Mammoth Cave, the St. Louis Arch, and Kansas City to name a few places.
Have you checked out RTA's Map Center yet?

Also 'En Route'
Since Mt Rushmore, the Rockies and the Corvette Museum are on your itinerary so far, I will assume that you like natural settings and boy toys. Fitting into those categories are several sites that are 'sort of' on the way back from Fort Collins to Ohio via Bowling Green. You would need a little extra time, say four days, in order to leave I-70 and for the stops themselves, but that extra day would let you take US-287 down to Lamar CO and then US-50/US-400 east through Dodge City, Greensburg which has completely rebuilt itself after a devastating tornado a few years back (and is home to the world's biggest hand-dug well), Wichita with its General Aviation aircraft museums, and even the possibility of a modest detour through the Ozarks before heading for St. Louis and the Museum of Westward Expansion (underground, below the Arch), and Bowling Green.
