2 week west coast trip by Europeans - any ideas are welcome!

Hi RTA members!

We are three young professional from Europe (all dudes), planning to have 2 weeks of an amazing west coast road trip involving cultural, culinary and fun/party activities too. We are going to meet up in Los Angeles on 31 Marc (probably rent a car at the airport) and leave from here on 14 April.
I have a vague idea about some major points we should touch, like San Diego, LA (Hollywood, Beverly Hills), San Francisco, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, but nothing specific, such as beaches, reastaurant, attractions, museums, monuments, festivals, clubs/bars, etc. Any tips or ideas are more than welcome, especially those off the beaten path which we wouldn't find on our own.
