Eugene, OR to LA

Hey all,

I am planning on going on a road trip for spring break this year from Eugene to LA. I have about 10 days to get there and back so I plan on seeing a lot of things.

I am from Chicago and have never been along the west coast besides Portland and Eugene.

Any good routes? Suggestions of places to stop and see some cool things?

Any input would be appreciated!

You haven't given us much to go on like your interests etc. There are no shortage of interesting things to see and do, scenic routes to find, but what is it you think to be "Cool" or interesting.

Does your 10 days include time in LA and if so how long do you intend stopping there ?

You could easily spend a week just working your way down the Oregon /California coast taking in the scenery and visiting the Redwoods, San Francisco [Alcatraz] and driving down around Big Sur and then take a 2 or 3 day inland run back.

Have a search around the forums [you can scroll down this page and find 'Similar threads']and take a look at a good map and when you have some dots on it and share some more info, I am sure we can help fill in the blanks.
