I've seen the post that chronicles the opening of Tioga Pass over the years. Is there a similar list that shows when the road down into Kings Canyon closes in fall/ winter?
I'm planning on going to Sequoia Kings Canyon NP again in the middle of November, and it will be my first trip there in the fall.
If you are referring to 180 to Cedar Grove, it closes November 14.
At the higher elevations it could well be into winter rather than typical Fall conditions. An early snow storm or ice could close the road early, either temporarily or permanently, so keep yourself updated with conditions. Snow chains may be required.
I couldn't find a list of dates after a quick search, but if you get there before the scheduled closing above, you have a chance.
