Nashville to Yellowstone
We are planning a family trip next summer from Nashville to Yellowstone NP. Wondering if anyone could suggest some routes with interesting things to do along the way. How many days do we need to plan for so that the trip is enjoyable? We would like several days in Yellowstone. Also, would it be feasible to do the Grand Canyon with this trip? I seems a little out of the way. We have never been out west.

Just Very Generally
Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!
You would need a very solid three days of driving, with no significant stops, to get from Nashville to Yellowstone. From there to the Grand Canyon (south rim) is another day and a half, and a full three days 'from the Canyon back to Nashville. So around 8 days of driving are involved. To make that worthwhile, I would think that you'd need a minimum of two weeks which would let you take a few days at Yellowstone, a day at the Canyon and add a day or so to each of the three legs for sight seeing. Major attractions along that loop would include St. Louis and Kansas City, the Oregon Trail, the Grand Tetons, Great Salt Lake, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks, the Petrified Forest, Cadillac Ranch and the Oklahoma City Memorial.
