Hi all,
I'm planning a shortish road trip at the end of August for 2 weeks. We plan on starting at San Fran, driving down to LA, then to San Diego and finally ending in Las Vegas.
I welcome any advice on this topic. Drive times??? is 2 weeks enough??

You should be able to do and see quite a bit with 2 weeks. I would plan on taking 2 to 3 days to get from SF to LA, going down the Pacific Coast Highway (CA-1). LA to SD is only 2 to 3 hours on I-5 depending on traffic. SD to LV can be done in less than 6 hours on I-15. There are a wealth of options, look around the forum, this is probably the most popular trip here.

As glc mentioned you will find a wealth of info throughout the forums, here's some of our favorites to get you started.
You will need to work out how much time you wish to spend in each City and see what time remains. Two weeks could certainly be enough to add a couple of natural wonders to your trip. From San Fran you could head to Yosemite NP [a true gem] before heading back to Monterey and the coast. From San Diego you could head to the South rim of the Grand canyon and then to Vegas over the Hoover dam. An overnight stop on route to GC would mean a little time to explore along the way, possibly a trip through Joshua tree NP.
