One-stop State Highway Conditions
There's a variety of road condition sites managed by the DOT's from the US and Canadian governments. The link to the Federal directory site is here.
National Weather Service: Quick & easy access to all U.S. weather warnings & watches, temperature forecasts, flood stage alerts, infrared & satellite imagery. The site also has a gallery of awesome photos of severe weather.
This thread will be maintained as a Sticky for those road condition sites that we deem especially helpful.

Lots of construction along I-15 in Las Vegas
The funny thing about local construction projects, is that they seem to be going on forever and it's easy to forget that not everyone knows about them...
To that end,
Interstate-15 is under construction from the Blue Diamond exit nearly all the way to Tropicana. They are adding a fly-over bridge at Blue Diamond for merging traffic and much of the area is impacted. Actually most of the construction happens at night and it's stunning to see how much is done during the ensuing daylight hours.

I love those opportunities!

Rather than looking on it as an irritation and interruption to a journey, consider the great opportunity afforded to meet other travellers. Get out of your car and go and say 'Hi!" to the occupants of the vehicles in front and behind. You have no idea what lifelong friendships this could start.
