I am heading to Vegas the last week of August with my grown kids - 21, 23 and 28. Renting a care and basically want to see the Grand Canyon, Mojave Desert, Sequoia and Yosemite. But we've only got a week.
Suggestions....? We're up for camping but won't have gear since we're flying and keeping it lite.
Would like to whitewater somewhere too.

What you want to see can be achieved in a week, but you will have to keep on the move. From Vegas you could head across Death valley and up 395 to the Tioga pass [CA120] into Yosemite and then head South on 41 to Fresno and then 180/198 [The Generals highway] through Sequoia and out the Southern end via Three rivers to Bakersfield. The 58 will take you to I40 [past Mojave]and onto the Grand canyon before heading back to Vegas via the Hoover dam. Expect it to be an extremely pleasurable, but busy week !
