Our family of 5, along with another family of 5 are planning an RV roadtrip for next summer.
We are starting the planning now, and are looking for any tips or advice!
Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the RTA forums !
At this time my suggestion would be to research the route and area you are visiting to find places of interest to you and your family. Include the kids[?] at this stage and get them involved with the planning so they feel part of this great adventure. Get a good map and use the RTA site to get great ideas for every aspect of road tripping. You can use the search button with key words or simply scroll down to the bottom of this page for "similar threads". In the tool bars above you will find Routes, Planning tips and a whole section dedicated to RV lifestyle.
Once you have got started on your plan I am sure we will be able to make suggestions and help to "fine tune" your trip, but at the moment we haven't much to go on. Things such as how long do you have ? What are your interests ? Is it a one way trip or return ? [RV owners or renting?] What is the age group ? What do you consider a "fun stop"?
Get the basics down and I am sure we will be able to help, enjoy the planning !
We've done Chicago to Keystone/Mt.Rushmore before. We stopped in Minneapolis for a couple nights to visit the Mall of America on the way and then down 90 made just day stops at Sioux Falls, Corn Palace in Mitchell (would skip if you didn't have time), Badlands National Park, and Wall Drug. We spent 4 nights in Keystone and there was plenty there to keep us busy - I'm not sure how old your kids our we were traveling with 2 - 2yr olds and 1 3 yr old.
