NorCal to Seattle to Bismarck
Hello! I've been enjoying cruising the site... so much to learn!!
I am a crafts vendor planning to go 'On Tour' this July. I'm used to traveling a couple hundred miles to a show for the weekend, but this will be my first extended trip. I'll have 5 craft fairs over 6 weeks. I live in Northern Calif... starting July 4, I'll have two shows in western OR, two shows near Seattle, WA, then a show (2 wks after the last WA show) in Bismarck, ND where my mom lives.
While vending at the shows, I'll dry camp nearby for free like I usually do. I plan on heading to the coastal forests between shows to cool off and camp at state or national camp grounds. I suppose there will come a time when I'll want to stay in a motel, but these will be few. I'll be primarily eating out of my cooler, with some exceptions for a friendly beer or local treat. Since I'll be selling all the way, money won't be an issue... but I prefer the simple, cheap, self-contained style of travel.
I know this is a shot in the dark... but if there are any other vendors out there, I could use your advice. I'm not sure how much stock to bring, whether to try to make stuff on the road (challenging but not impossible) or have it sent to me along the way. I really don't want to pull a trailer, but maybe some roof racks? I don't know.
As for general extended camping travel... I'm sure I'm missing something. I just want to be as comfy as possible with the least amount of junk. Any tips are appreciated!
