First time driving alone from Florida to Washington State

Hello I'm new here and I just wanted some advice. I will be driving alone for my first time ever from Florida to Seattle in the beginning of Feb. I've driven across country before but with another person with me. I was wondering if anyone can give me any tips for making my roadtrip. What road conditions can I expect. What the safest route would be. I'm giving myself about a week to get to Seattle. Do you thing that would be enough time to get there? I also plan on driving about 12 hours a day and stopping at a hotel or motel before it gets too dark. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

You may find that 12 hours per day, day after day, gets a bit much, especially when you are on your own. It is also important that you discipline yourself to a 10 min stop at least every two or three hours to stretch your body, get the blood and oxygen circulating again and generally refresh yourself to stay alert.
