Is a NY - DEN 4 day trip doable?

I'm moving to denver and have a '06 car that I like, I will be driving there (plus have stuff to move). The trip is 1800 miles + rest = 2000 miles. That would be a 500/day drive. I am a 20 year old, who's been driving a little but over a year (longest drive 4 hours). Not averse to long trips, was on one NY-NC 500 miles, I wasn't driving though.

1. Should I make strech it out to 5 days?
2. I-80 or I-70? I-70 would be about 100 miles longer but that is nothing considering the total trip is 2000 miles.

You should be able to make the trip pretty easily in 4 days. 500 miles a day is about what we recommend for a good day on the road. It will put you on the road for about 8 hours a day, which should give you plenty of time to make some stops here and there to take a break.

In fact, since the actual mileage is really only 1800 miles, you could make the trip in 3 days if you didn't mind long days on the road. However, since this is a fall/winter trip, I think the 4 days will be ideal. It will allow you to go at a pretty relaxed pace, but it also gives you some wiggle room if you hit bad weather and have to slow down or wait out bad weather for up to a day.

And of course, if you want to make this a 5 day trip, there's certainly nothing wrong with that either. More time is never a bad thing on a roadtrip!

For routes, the difference between I-80 and I-70 is less than 50 miles. I'd pick the one that has the most things you'd want to see or just looks more interesting to you. The only big difference I'd say is that if you take I-80 to Ohio and then cut down to I-70 there, you can miss out on most of the tolls and save yourself about $20.
