Buffalo to Manhattan in three days....
Hi guys - first time user of this site, but long time watcher - fabulous site.
I know there have probably been a hundred similar questions, but I am after some advice - obviously!
Coming from Australia, I'll be picking up a car rental in Buffalo (after visiting friends in Ont. Canada) in 4 weeks time on a Friday morning and need to be in Manhattan by Sunday afternoon.
My dear wife and I would like to take a scenic trip between those cities but realistic we are pretty flexible about the route and where to stay.
Any advice would really be appreciated - happy to get to unusual(?) spots. I know it's not that long a trip, that's why I'm after some help to make the most of it.
Hope you can help!
Cheers Steve
Plenty of Scenery and Plenty of Time
Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!
The drive from Buffalo to New York could be made in a single day so you'll have plenty of time to see some of the great sights in between. Just a few of the places you should be considering visiting would include Letchworth State Park, Watkins Glen, the old Erie Canal, and Taughannock Falls. Pretty much all the routes through central New York are scenic, with the low hills of the northern Appalachians and the Finger Lakes combining to produce both vistas and wine country.
