From LA to...where?

Hey all!

Me and and a friend of mine are planning a roadtrip. The only problem is, we have no idea where to go! We would be leaving from LA, we have 7-10 days is the end of August and absolutely no IDEA! My friend lives in San Diego so that wont be one of the places to go. We where thinking about La-Phoenix-Grand Canyon-Salt Lake City-San Francisco-LA. Is this too much? Grand Canyon-SLC and SLC-San Fra looks like a loooong drive. I was also thinking about going to south. LA-Phoenix-El Paso-Dallas-Oklahoma City-Roswell-Albuquerque-Grand Canyon-LA. Too much, huh. Just don-t know what to take off! Basicly we dont wanna spend too much time in a one place, we just wanna see as much as possible, and as different kind of areas as possible. Driving just San Fra and back is just soo boring, something what everybody do. I dunno, this is my frist roadtrip so would be great to hear some suggestions, advice etc. Thanks!

Only you can decide what works for you, thats the beauty of the road trip, the freedom to do as you please. A popular route that I would recommend, best done as a 10 day trip would be LA > Grand canyon > Vegas > Death valley > Yosemite > San Fran > and a couple of nights down the PCH back to LA.

When you have decided let us know and we can certainly help "fine tune" the trip you decide on.
