FL to LA..ASAP route

Hi..1st time poster..
Son moving to LA...from Tallahassee, Fl...he will travel on I-10 but we cant figure out what cities/towns to stay overnight in and the distances between each. He would like to do it in 4 days......he is driving by himself and leaving in 4 days!!!!
Anyone have suggestions to help map out his route and stops?

I make your son's three overnight stops to be roughly Lake Charles, LA; Fort Stockton, TX; and Tucson, AZ. While not perfectly equally spaced, they are each around 550 miles apart and do offer fair sized cities with multiple lodging choices.
