Boston to Yellowstone
Hi There!
My husband and I are planning a road trip for the summer. We would like to go from Boston (where we live) to Yellowstone and back. We are thinking about stopping in-
Niagara Falls
Chicago
Badlands
Mt. Rushmore
(and a couple places between to break up the driving)
and then the Tetons and Yellowstone
We're thinking about heading down to Boulder, and driving home from there.
We have at least 2 weeks and potentially 3 weeks to do this trip. Is this enough time?
Also, what are some cool places to see/camp at between Chicago and the Badlands? Are there any cool places throughout that route that we haven't thought of?
Thanks!!

Welcome!
Welcome to the RoadTrip America Forum!
Having taken the trip from Massachusetts to Yellowstone, I can tell you that two weeks is not enough time to do what you are planning, unless you only wanted to spend one day at Yellowstone... which I'm sure isn't the case.
Three weeks gives you some breathing room. It really depends on how much time you want to spend in each location that you mention.

Thanks for the reply! We'll do our best to get the full three weeks off. When you went did you go straight to Yellowstone, or did you stop along the way? What were the highlights for you?
Thanks again!!

Don't overlook the Big Horn Mountains. Great place for wildlife early in the morning and late afternoon.

Thanks for the suggestion! Looks beautiful. Have any of you been to Great River Bluffs State Park in Minnesota? Thought that could be a nce place to stop over between Chicago and Badlands, etc.
