Hi Everyone - I am planning a two week road trip this July from Detroit to Portland (stay there a couple of days visiting family) and then back to Detroit. It will be my husband and I and our two girls, ages 9 and 10.
I am looking for attraction ideas -- off the top of my head, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, ...
Any and all help is sincerely appreciated!

With it being a round trip in the region of 4700 miles, it will require something like 10 x 8 hour days or 8 x 10 hour days [that I doubt the kids would enjoy so much] on the road, with just short stops for food, gas and Bio breaks along the way.
With a couple of days in Portland it doesn't leave you with a whole lot of free time after a visit to Yellowstone. However this link has great info on interesting stops just off Interstate.
