Winter Trip from Orlando to Los Angeles

I am moving from Orlando to Los Angeles and am driving my car across in late December Early January. I would like to take a scenic route and was thinking of going up and across i-40 but was wondering if there is a lot of snow on that route and maybe an alternative route I should take?

Welcome to the Great American RoadTrip Forum! There is no route between these two places that will not have some snow or other winter-weather road conditions on it, (unless you dip far south into Mexico...)
