Baltimore to Burlington
Hi
my boyfriend & i are heading up to vermont from baltimore, md october 9th -13th and I'm all about tips and cool places to stop along the way. we already booked a b&b w/in walking distance of main st in burlington, vt, we are bringing our bikes and looking forward to the paths along the lake. We are also taking the ferry over to NY one day to see the chasm. Right now thats all I have planned but I just started "itinerizing" so if anyone has any suggestions that would be great. Ive never been to burlington/new york/lake adirondack area so im really looking forward to it. we like to do a lot of nature things and i love photography so anything picturesque is right up my alley :)
my boyfriend is excited to stop at the king arthur flour store as he recently began baking bread.
any must see, must do, must eats are greatly appreciated! And if you need to know anything about baltimore or surrounding areas ill be happy to help you out

Welcome!
Welcome to the RoadTrip America Forum!
I think you'll find the Lake Champlain area to have plenty of things to do to fill your time with. Heading out of Burlington on I-89 or US-2 will lead you to many great places for photography. Camels Hump is just one place that comes to mind. But you are also near to Mount Mansfield, which is the highest peak in the state. Anywhere in the Green Mountains I'm sure you will find what you are looking for.
Church Street is one of the most popular destinations in the city, with shopping, cafes, etc.
Are you heading to the flagship King Arthur store in Norwich?

Thanks! I will definitely check out your suggestions. Yes, we are heading to Norwich for the flour. We ended up w/an extra day so we may split the drive up by staying over in the catskills somewhere and possibly checking out the de water gap.
