NYC to Boston - ROADTRIP =]
Alright, so my friend and I want to take a road trip to Boston before we both go to college in fall and we decided we'll go to Boston. We thought it'd be kind of cool to go through Hartford, Providence and then lastly Boston. We want to do a weekend trip out of this but we don't know what to do. We live about 20 minutes from NYC so we can get on every major highway, anything. Can someone give me some good suggestions and where to stop along the way so we could have a good time. Thanks so very much.

One if by Land, Two if by Sea
Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!
Actually, I'll give you some of both. If you go up along the coast, then by all means stop in Mystic, CT, not only for the seaport, but for a lobster at Abbott's in nearby Noank or pizza at, yes, Mystic Pizza. For desert, there's a place that sells the best home-made ice cream right on the main drag just on the west side of the bridge. Next up would be Newport, RI and a tour of (or at least a stroll by) some of the 'cottages'.
If you go by land, then stop at Old Sturbridge Village or in the Hartford area you can visit Mark Twain's home and/or make your own dinosaur footprint casts at Dinosaur State Park.
