NYC to Chicago?
I'm surprised I couldn't find any other threads on this...if there's a good one, let me know.
I'm going from NYC to Chicago this weekend (probably leaving Sunday morning or Saturday afternoon). Are there any particularly photogenic or interesting stretches of back roads I should check out? I'm going by myself, so I don't want to take too much time, but if there's something I should see I'd love to check it out.
thanks!

Oh, there's a few...
...but not as many as posts about other parts of the country. Welcome to the Roadtrip America forums.
This discussion has a few tips. Hopefully that will give you some ideas. I'm sorry I'm not able to help more but I'm unfamiliar with that area.

North Coast of the US
Great scenery and drive from Cleveland to Toledo. If you have time, go to Put-in-Bay for a taste of Key West, but a lot closer to home.
We also like the Marblehead Lighthouse and definitely stop at Tony Packo's in Toledo. They have several places, but try to get to the original one and see the autographed buns on the walls and the package the guys from MASH received when they ordered it to go on the TV series.
Definitely not like any hot dog you've ever had and try the pickles.
Also, have a student guide you on a tour on the Notre Dame campus in South bend and visit the Studebaker Museum.
