Trip for 1/26...Fl to see some snow
I want to take a drive this weekend with my family. We're in the south of Florida. I want to see something new, not I95. I want to see some snow, even a flurry. It would be nice to see flea markets or yard sales, etc... it is what I work with in my job and it helps to run into them. I want a fun trip that I can leave on Friday night or Saturday morning and be back by Monday or Tuesday from. Seeing snow would make the 7 years of missing it while living in the boiling heat a great weekend.
Any advice on where to drive for a fun weekend.....
I am willing to go. I looked at Alabama and beyond. Just not sure where to go.
Thanks

The simplest answer if you want to see something new and some snow as well, is to just get yourself to Knoxville. Current snow cover extends south into Georgia, but you may have to go a bit farther to get appreciable amounts. Knoxville would be about a two day drive if you took 'back' roads and looked for flea markets, yard sales and such, but could probably be done in a day and a half by way of the Interstates. So you could certainly do that in four days from Saturday through Tuesday. If you followed (roughly) the Alabama/Georgia state line you could visit a number of different sites including FDR's Little White House in Warm Springs and Calloway Gardens in Pine Mountain.
