Eating Our Way Across The US
So, here's the plan:
Two of us are starting out from Austin, TX and we want food festivals! We want to gorge ourselves this summer on all of America's diverse delicacies. We've found everything from Moxie fests to garlic fests. There are so many that I don't even know where to begin.
We need a plan of attack.
Now, not growing up in the US, I also want to go touristing. Grand Canyon, Nat'l Parks, Native American festivals, you name it, I want it. So, we need to find a compromise.
We plan on leaving in June and being back in TX by the start of the school year. Three months of summer road trip... and I don't even have an itinerary.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Great American RoadTrip Forum -- Wow! sounds like a great challenge roadtrip to me! One of our roadtrip colleagues once did a trip seeking the best piece of pie in every state -- but your plan is even higher in potential calories!

I think to begin to address this "need" perhaps you could share with us your budget. Is this going to be $3000 adventure or some higher sum?
