SC Greenville, and NC Charollote, \- Mexican food
Will be meeting college student mexican food affectionadios a week from now in Charollote after we attend a wedding further South in Greenville NC.
Any "must sees" while we are Greenville?
In Charollote, the students have lived there a year, like Mexican food as we do, and may know many of the spots, but we'd like to take them to a "nicer" place that is still very authentic, if such a place exists in that area, sort of as a surprise. To me authentic means they don't start cooking it until we order, and the spices are more hallapeno than chili. We will have one delicate stomach in the group and will need to order mild, too. I've seen a lot of websites, but value local or other experienced opinion. Any ideas?
Wish I had been there recently!

Normally, your sense of direction seems impeccable -- but isn't Greenville north of Charlotte? In any case, it has been too long for me to offer any current eating intel in the area -- my last trip was in 1997. And this idea is not very close to Greenville, -- but have you ever been out to Bodie Island? Chilli Peppers is a pretty good Tex-Mex place.
Sorry, I don't have any insider tips.

Greenville, north and south
Hi Mark, Are you referring to the Greenville N.C. on US-254? I was actually planning on going South, to S.C. to Greenville on I-85, about an hour from Charlotte.
But I shall have to keep your suggestions in if I get over to Eastern N.C. at another time. There are times I'm within a few hours of the place. TTM
