NY to Tennessee
A few friends and I are planning a week-long trip, hoping to encorporate New York City, The Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee (June 16-18) and anywhere interesting inbetween. We don't mind which order we go in or where we go to first and are completely open to suggestions and advice with regards to the best route to take, recommendations of anything worth seeing along the way, help on hiring a car! We are all completely new to this and it's our first time in America. Any advice appreciated!

Music and Scenery
Greetings aircrash and welcome to the RTA Forum!
If you enjoy touring music festivals, you should consider acquiring that book. Here's a thread featuring links to several music museums in the area of KY and TN. For great sceneries, you can stop by Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Shenandoah NP or Mammoth Cave National Park and drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. A great halfway stop is Harpers Ferry, a historic town nestled in the mountains of West Virginia. The Mecklinburg Inn has great music in the evening and a very nice garden. The Jumpin' Java Café serves tasty breakfasts and cool music.
Have a nice trip!
