      They say that if you've only time to do one distillery tour 'and there are plenty to choose from round these parts' this is one to follow. You'll be taken on a tour of the site 'the only operating distillery in America to be designated a National Historic Landmark' and learn about the history of the brand, the distilling process and the dripped-wax cork seal that's the trademark of every bottle. And for visitors 21 years old and older, the tour reaches its logical conclusion with the opportunity to sample 'America's only handmade bourbon whisky.'

      If you go:
      Tours are held hourly (on the half hour) from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Sunday tours run at 1.30, 2.30 and 3..30 (no Sunday tours in Jan/Feb).
