The 4,000 acres of this park offer a wide range of recreational activities, from hiking trails and nature walks to trout fishing and boating on beautiful Price Lake. It is therefore as much a destination in its own right as it is a place to stretch your legs for an hour or two on a drive along the parkway. The land was original acquired by Julian Price for the Standard Life Insurance Company but was, upon his death in 1946, donated by Jefferson Standard to the National Park Service.

      If you go:
Julian Price Park is the location of the largest National Park Service campground along the parkway. Fishing and boating on Price Lake are allowed; the site is open from mid-May to late October.
