      For over half a century, this facility has collected artifacts, sculpture, photographs and paintings relating to the cowboy/western experience. The exhibits include Bowie knives, saddles, and even a more or less actual size frontier town. The museum also offers educational programs, including classes in such associated crafts as making straw hats and engraving your bits and spurs.

      If you go:
      Free parking. Open every day except Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. For Memorial Day, the museum hosts a Chuck Wagon Gathering and Children's Cowboy Festival.
