      National Bowling Stadium

The smaller of two domed buildings in downtown Reno (the larger one is the Silver Legacy Casino), the National Bowling Stadium is where bowlers from all over the country come to compete in year-round competition. What's astounding about this facility is the quantity of lanes. There are 76 championship caliber lanes. It's also home to the longest video screen in the world - topping out at 440 feet long. It's been called the "Taj Mahal of Tenpin."

      If you go:
The stadium is within a short walk of most other Reno attractions. The premises include a gift shop, and a game room featuring billiards and mini-bowling.

I love that photo -- it really does look like there are bowling alleys reaching to the distant horizon. Nice work!
