• Cypress Swamp - Natchez Trace - Canton, Mississippi

      Follow a self-guiding, one-half mile trail on boardwalks through a water tupelo/bald-cypress swamp. Keep your eyes open - you may spot turtles or even alligators sunning themselves on logs in the swamp! Nice place to stretch your legs and get photos on your travels along the Natchez Trace Parkway.

      If you go:
      GPS coordinates are 32 34.71199N, 89 52.18369W. Watch for sign on your right at mile marker 122 for the parking area. Allow approximately 20 minutes.

        This is one of my favorite places to sit and take photographs of wildlife. Sometimes you have to sit and be still for awhile, but there's plenty of critters lurking nearby... Stay alert!
